Cordless vacuums are marketed as the ultimate convenient cleaning tool, but is it really the case.

PERFORMANCE

Many cordless vacuums are noisy, much like traditional vacuums, but don’t be fooled—their suction power is often weaker compared to the best corded vacuums.

Another downside is that cordless vacuums might struggle to clean your entire house, especially if it’s large. This means you might have to stop halfway and wait for a recharge, making them less effective for thorough house cleaning.

Imagine having to keep your vacuum plugged in all day, every day, just to use it for 5-10 minutes of cleaning once a week or even less frequently.

WASTEFUL

Cordless vacuums are designed to be ready whenever you need them, which means they’re often left plugged into their chargers almost all the time. This continuous charging consumes power 24/7, even if you’re only using the vacuum for a few minutes each week. It’s like leaving your phone on charge all day—wasting electricity without any real benefit, which isn’t great for the environment.

Additionally, constant charging wears down the battery faster, reducing its lifespan. Eventually, you might need to replace the battery or even the entire vacuum increasing electronic waste.

We’re saying all of these to say although cordless vacuums are convenient, they may not be the best on the market, and that the convenience they offer comes at a cost.

If possible, please consider making the switch to corded vacuums!
